Abstract

|
In the 7th ICHO(International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology) in Rome on 1996, I
was elected as the President of 8th ICHO and Korea was nominated as the host
country. The Korean Society for Hyperthermia and Oncology is preparing for 8th
International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology(ICHO) which will be held on Apr.
26-29, 2000 in Kyongju. Title will be "Harmony and Rekindle Hyperthermia", this means
that we can rekindle hyperthermia by good harmony with ASHO(Asian Society for
Hyperthermic Oncology), ESHO(European Society of Hyperthermic Oncology) and
NASH(North American Society of Hyperthermia). 8th ICHO should be successful,
because it is not only the academic festival, but also the good chance to show our
history, cultural inheritance and our real ability. Kyongju is the proper place for these
purposes. ASHO, ESHO & NASH sent us their proposals for symposiums, special
lectures, and various sessions and they recommended proper scholars for each sessions.
They also sent us the suggested lists of various committees which will be very
important for the successful ICHO-2000. Based on those facts, I am sure that
ICHO-2000 would be successful, because we already haute the fine team work and
strong supporting from those 3 societies.
